Professional Development Bootcamp: Advocacy, Virtual Interviewing, Job Search and Negotiation

Webinar Description:

In this time of change, students are interested in maximizing professional development and networking opportunities, particularly considering the limitations associated with today’s virtual world. The Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice (Division 37), the Society of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology (Division 53), and the Society of Pediatric Psychology (Division 54) are hosting a virtual professional development “bootcamp” targeted towards psychology trainees across the career lifespan.

Topics will include effective advocacy, virtual interviewing, and job search and negotiation. All trainee levels are invited to attend. The entire webinar is 1.5 hours, with each topic presented for 30 minutes. Twenty minutes will be allotted for each presentation and 10 minutes for Q & A. The four presenters selected for this webinar are uniquely suited to speak to each of these three topics. First, Dr. Apryl Alexander will present on advocacy, next Lexi Smith and Dr. Jessica McCarthy will present on virtual interviewing tips and tricks. Lastly, Dr. Lori Stark will present on job search and negotiation.
