- Any Non-APA member who has reached the age of 65 and has belonged to SCCAP for a total of 25 years.
- APA members who qualify for Life status may choose to begin the dues-reduction process, culminating in dues exception by contacting the APA Service Center at 1-800-374-2721 or emailing directly.
- Any member, who, regardless of age or length of membership, has been adjudged totally and permanently disabled may choose to become exempt from dues.

- To qualify, you must be, a paid APA International Affiliate member, a member of the psychological association of the country in which they reside or present evidence of appropriate qualifications. For more information click here.

- To qualify for Student Affiliate status, an individual must bean individual shall be a paid APA Student Member, pursuing undergraduate, graduate or post-graduate (post-doc) education or training in a field related to the purpose of SCCAP.

- To qualify for Student Affiliate status, an individual must be pursuing undergraduate, graduate or post-graduate education or training in a field related to the purpose of SCCAP.

- To qualify for Developing Country status, an individual must live in one of the developing countries as defined by the World Bank and whose professional interests align with the mission of SCCAP.

- To qualify for Associate status an individual shall be a paid Associate of APA, hold a Master's degree or two years of graduate study in psychology or a related field at a regionally accredited institution and, whose professional interests align with the mission of SCCAP. APA membership is not required to become a member of SCCAP.

The first year of membership is 100% free for all students. Membership remains 100% free in subsequent years for all student members of APA/American Psychological Association of Graduate Students.
