Juventino Hernandez Rodriguez, PhD, is a clinical psychologist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychological Science at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. His program of research focuses on developing, implementing, and evaluating community- and school-based prevention and intervention programs for traditionally underserved youth and families. His current research focuses on how Latinx youth and families are impacted by stressful and traumatic events (e.g., peer victimization, trauma, discrimination, anti-immigration policies, COVID-19). In addition, Dr. Hernandez Rodriguez is interested in professional development and mentoring to increase Latinx representation in graduate psychology programs.
