Professional Development Awards

Application Period October 1-January 5

Announcement by February 21

The Student Development Committee for the Society of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology is pleased to invite applications for the Professional Development Awards. Up to six $375 professional development awards (2 undergraduate students, 2 early-stage graduate students (in the first 3 years of doctoral training or in master’s programs), and 2 late-stage graduate students) are available to support conference attendance, online educational opportunities, and/or purchase of printed materials (excluding posters) that relate to the student’s work.

Eligibility:

  1. These awards are aimed at supporting the professional development of undergraduate, and graduate students in APA, PCSAS, and/or CPA accredited programs.

2. Applicants must be a member of SCCAP to apply for this award, and priority will be given to students with long-standing membership. SCCAP is free to join for students (https://sccap53.org/join/).

3. Applicants must be domiciled in the United States of America.

Applications will be evaluated based on the justification of the ways the award will be utilized and how the award will aid the professional development of the student. Priority will be given to applicants who are not receiving other funding to attend conferences or purchase professional development materials.

Applicants may also utilize award funding for past conferences/educational opportunities attended between January 2024 to April 2024 and must show proof of participation before the stipend will be awarded.
