Katie Stone is a fifth-year graduate student in the Clinical Child Psychology Program at the University of Kansas. She earned her Master of Arts degree at the University of Kansas in 2016. Broadly, her research interests include individual and family factors that influence adaptive and maladaptive outcomes for youth exposed to maltreatment. Her dissertation projection aims to examine how the sibling relationship may influence emotion regulation development in low-income preschool-aged children. With regards to clinical experience, Katie has provided therapeutic and assessment services for youth on a psychiatric inpatient unit, in outpatient settings, at a community-based mental health center, and at a telemedicine mental health clinic.
