Ayotola Onipede is pursuing her PhD in Clinical Psychology at UCLA, under the mentorship of Dr. Anna Lau. Ayotola is passionate about health equity and reducing racial mental health disparities, particularly disparities affecting Black youth. Broadly she is interested in the use of intervention adaptations, and implementation strategy to promote mental health equity and address racial disparities in mental health service use. Ayotola is particularly interested in evaluating how multi-tiered interventions at the school level impact youth mental health and service use. With her research, she is committed to amplifying and centering the needs and experiences of her communities of interest. As such, mixed methods and community based participatory research are central to her research process.   Ayotola graduated from Tufts University with a B.S. in Clinical Psychology and completed her post-bacc research training in eating disorder prevention and treatment at Stanford University with Dr. Cara Bohon and Dr. Eric Stice.
